Macro Space Not Working? Common Problems and Fixes

Most problems with a sideloaded APK have simple causes. Try these in order.

1. "App not installed"

Uninstall any older version, free storage, and install again.

2. "There was a problem parsing the package"

The download is incomplete or the Android version is below 5.0. Re-download the file and check your Android version.

3. Install is blocked

Enable Install unknown apps for the browser or file manager you are using.

4. Play Protect warning

Apps outside the Play Store trigger a generic warning. Read the prompt and continue only if you trust the file. You can compare the file's SHA-256 with the one on our download page.

5. App closes right after opening

Clear the app cache (Settings → Apps → Macro Space → Storage), restart the phone and reopen.

6. Layout looks wrong

Disable display-size or font-size extremes in your phone settings, then restart the app.

7. Not working on an emulator

Use a recent emulator image with Android 7+ and enable hardware acceleration.

8. Still broken

Uninstall, restart, download a fresh copy and reinstall. If that fails, contact us with your phone model and Android version.
